From October 20-26, we mark the 12th annual International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week (ILPPW). BAN Toxics is taking part with a series of awareness activities, including toy clinics and seminars in Quezon City and Trece Martires City, Cavite.

Committed to addressing the presence of toxic lead in consumer products, especially children’s toys and items, BAN Toxics is highlighting the urgent need for stronger enforcement of the ban on lead. This year’s ILPPW theme, “Bright Futures Begin Lead-Free,” emphasizes the importance of protecting children from lead exposure.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), lead exposure contributes to 1.5 million deaths annually, mainly due to cardiovascular diseases, and causes irreversible neurological and behavioral damage—especially in children 🧠👶.

Let’s unite for stricter enforcement of the lead ban in children’s products. Join the call for a lead-free future! 🌱👧👦
